About Ronke...by Yinka

Aderonke Aramide Adeyemi was born in Lagos as the first of 3 other siblings. She recently graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University where she studied Mass Communications. Ronke speaks/understands a bit of French and has very keen interest in attaining complete fluency in the language and maybe live in France for sometime (me too, I wouldn't mind that)

Fun loving, trendy and very caring are some of the words that describes Ronke. Hobbies and interests includes reading, movies, music and shopping (though I'm not too particularly keen on the last one sha if you know what I mean).

My endearment name for Ronke is ‘Baby’. I honestly don’t know how that started but it stuck to my heart ever since. I love her smile, her eyes, her smell, her sense of humor, her acumen, ehmmm…I love her.

About Yinka...by Ronke

My Baby, My Best Friend, My Brother…Those are just few of the words that describe James Adeyinka Shorungbe…his friends call him JAS.

Born 33 years ago in Lagos, Nigeria, he’s the first of 3 other siblings (as well). He’s nice & charming, considerate and has been very inspirational and supportive of me in things I do and want to do.

Adeyinka studied both in Nigeria and the UK, holds an M.Sc in some fancy-name course and currently works for one of the biggezt bank in Nigeria doing what he enjoys. He also enjoys going to the gym, staying fit and healthy (pssst…I think he’s trying to look real trim and fit for the wedding…ssshhh don’t tell him I said that).

His hobbies include reading, swimming, going to the movies and sleeping. Always claims he doesn’t eat much but whenever I cook, he surely does eat plenty. I wouldn’t wish for anybody else to marry but Adeyinka-mi.

How We Met

We first met at a party in Oct 2003 at 1004 (Victoria Island, Lagos) to be precise. The party was fly with nuff food, drinks and ...so on.

Yinka: My first attraction to Ronke was her beauty (I won't lie). The chick was fine, she made time stand still for me right there and then. So I stepped up, all geared up with some bounce to my swagger, went over to say hi. As usual, got the "How can I help you" stare. So am like, "Honestly I don't know what to say right now and I don't wanna sound cliché but you're really pretty."

Ronke:  I'm like thinking...Okay, another one, here we go again.

Yinka: I could sense I wasn't getting anywhere. So I thought to my self, "Quick, think of something cool to say...Ehmm, ehmm", nothing came out. So I reached for my phone: a NEC 3G Video phone (remember, this was back in 2003) and she smiles and goes "Thats a nice phone."  BINGO!!!

Ronke: Come on, it wasn't like that. I didn't even like the phone anyway. I only gave you a break because I could see you had started sweating.

Yinka: Yeah right.

Anyway we got talking, found out we had a few of things in common and really enjoyed each others company. Exchanged digits at the end of day and after plenty of calls, lyrics and pleading (Yinka: Ain't too proud to beg) etc we starting going out...and here we are.
